rayya badran

rayya badran is a writer based in beirut. she earned her ma in aural and visual cultures from goldsmiths college, london in 2008 and her first publication entitled radiophonic voice(s) was published by ashkal alwan during homeworks 5 in 2010. her writing and recent sound pieces primarily center on the intersections between theory, fiction and sound. she has published articles and texts in publications such as peeping tom (paris), bidoun (new york), ibraaz (london), arteeast (new york), and global art forum publication drone fiction (dubai). she recently collaborated with 98 weeks project space, lawrence abu hamdan and nora razian on the radio project our lines are now open in the framework of homeworks 6, 2013.
