sandra delacourt

sandra delacourt is an independent art critic based in paris. she is co-editor of le chercheur et ses doubles (b42, paris, 2016), a book questioning - through different voices - what art makes to social sciences and it political role in the production of knowledge. this publication is based on a continuous ten hours conversation gathering otobong nkanga, kapwani kiwanga, mathieu abonnenc, the curatorial platform le peuple qui manque, emilie villez director of the kadist art foundation in paris, on their own recent projects and their research practices. sandra delacourt holds a ph.d. in contemporary art history from the université paris 1-panthéon sorbonne, and teaches at l’ecole supérieure des beaux-arts de tours (esba talm), in france. she is a regular contributor of l’art même (brussels) and publishes her writings in art magazines, catalogs, artist’s books and academic reviews
